Gazza58 Â Â 10 #14 Posted January 1, 2014 Whenever we made pies /sausage rolls, the ingrediants were fine, the only worrying thing was when you had finished with the pastry your fingernails were spotless.
 Share this content via...

swordfish1 Â Â 10 #16 Posted January 2, 2014 My cousin used to work for a famous pie factory down south (think fish&chip shop pies). He told me the things they did on night shifts. I've never eaten a pie since.
 Share this content via...
cgksheff   44 #17 Posted January 2, 2014 Hey, I looked at a COOP pie toady and it said 10% meat on the front. It's supposed to be a meat pie for crying out loud. Is some of this meat from cows gonads and stiff?  Opines?  Now that they get away with putting chicken meat on supernarket shelves that is labelled "90% chicken" ... anything is possible. Anna Glypta   10 #21 Posted January 2, 2014 I looked on a pie in Lidl and it said 90% pastry.  I've had vegetarian meals that contain no meat at all.
 Share this content via...

Lobos   10 #24 Posted January 2, 2014 Being a truck driver I get to a lot of these well known food manufactures and I can tell you you would never eat anything if you saw what went in some foods..some of the stuff I've delivered you would be amazed what they put in there..that's what pies are just the scrag ends and bits of meat fat with some crumbs and a bit of flavoring and preservatives, pork pies are worst for crap in them still love a pork pie with some brown sauce on though.
