astraman   10 #1 Posted December 29, 2013 Took my camera along to last weeks match. Lighting conditions were very harsh - very bright, very low sun. Anyway, I think I got a few decent shots, but more practice is needed.  1 IMG_1948 by capnbugganuts, on Flickr  2 IMG_1921 by capnbugganuts, on Flickr  3 IMG_1929 by capnbugganuts, on Flickr  4 IMG_1941 by capnbugganuts, on Flickr  Thanks for looking. KenL60 Â Â 10 #2 Posted December 30, 2013 Good shots Astraman, number 4 is a great shot. Just a thought but on number 2 a close up of the guy with the ball and the ones on the floor I think would make some good shots. Â I've been thinking of having a go at some sports photography myself for a while, I took a few at a kids Sunday soccer match at Wincobank playing field about 40 years ago and though I got one or two decent photographs I've not tried it again since. Â ---------- Post added 30-12-2013 at 16:32 ---------- Â Also on number four, crop the excess sky either side of the players out. Ryedo40 Â Â 10 #3 Posted December 30, 2013 Number 4 is my favourite. I'd try at least three crops: 1:1(dead square keeping roughly 2.5cm of sky to the left most player), a 4:5 and another cutting the sky straight off the top(leaving about 2cm). Mclean87 Â Â 10 #4 Posted December 30, 2013 personally I'd crop the second shot into the first player in the white kit to emphasise the ball handler and ruck but great set :-)
 Share this content via...
astraman   10 #5 Posted December 30, 2013 Thanks for the feedback. I'll try the suggested crops and see how they look.
 Share this content via...
