Guest   #37 Posted December 18, 2013 Al Jazeera would be a strange place to look for source material that was biased against Muslims. The news reports I've seem suggest that Al Qaeda were kidnapping Europeans and using ransom money to fund a war in Central Africa. It is difficult to imagine a community under terrorist attack is going to sit idly by whist they are murdered. http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2013/12/al-qaeda-leaders-say-jihad-is-being-paid-for-by-europe.html  So you link to one of the biggest Islamophobes, Pamella Geller website? Mr Clowning   10 #38 Posted December 18, 2013 Millions of muslims displaced in Irag, Afghanistan and Burma. Swings and roundabouts hey.  Well in a few years we will be able to go over and help them.
 Share this content via...
Agent Orange   11 #39 Posted December 18, 2013 (edited) I have no doubt there are attacks from both sides. It would be a pretty strange population who allowed others to murder them in droves without shooting back. That would be like blaming the USA for attacking Japan after Pearl Harbor. Religion in CAR has been a problem for a long time too, and as the violence is pretty much one religious group attacking the other to try to isolate the trouble from religion is very naive indeed.  Like I said, there is more to this than religion. Read the link below which summarises the whole thing pretty well:  http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_African_Republic_Bush_War Edited December 19, 2013 by Agent Orange
 Share this content via...
lipschitz   12 #40 Posted December 19, 2013 Religion again. It is a shame that all religions were formed thousands of years ago. All religious writings are the biggest works of fantasy ever. Why can't we all just get along? Each country to their own area, trading with others in a civilized manner with no territorial ambitions. A bit utopian, but a damn site better than what is happening now.
 Share this content via...

blake   10 #44 Posted December 19, 2013 Well Afghanistan and Iraq was US and Allies, Burma is Buddhists.  Iraq and Afhganistan are predominately Muslim countries, everybody knows that and it isn't going to change.  the plight of the minority Muslims in Myanmar is largely ignored, because people like you, who claim to be on the side of Muslims and Islam, ignore it and the plight of Muslims there, because you cannot use it as a stick to bash the West, and in particular the United States and Israel with.  Christians have been having hard time all over the Middle East, which is where their religion originated, for a long time and that has intensified recently (except Israel where the rule of secular law including tolerance of minority religions including Christianity and Islam, counts for something).
