boyfriday   21 #13 Posted December 18, 2013 So why are you so keen to defend muslims at every opportunity then?  Was there a defence of Muslims in that post?  Are all Muslims responsible for the atrocities in Central Africa? Agent Orange   11 #14 Posted December 18, 2013 Christians are being attacked by Muslims throughout the Muslim world without much interest by anyone.  In all fairness, Central African Republic is not a Muslim country. About 80% of the population are Christian, so what is happening is being carried out by a minority.
 Share this content via...
Mecky   10 #15 Posted December 18, 2013 Was there a defence of Muslims in that post?  Are all Muslims responsible for the atrocities in Central Africa?  That's what he implied though, even if he didn't come out with it directly and considering his history in muslim/non-muslim debates he has demonstrated that he keen to defend muslims even when they have done wrong, such as the facts outlined in the OP. boyfriday   21 #16 Posted December 18, 2013 That's what he implied though, even if he didn't come out with it directly The implication I got was he was questioning the OP's motives for starting this thread. and considering his history in muslim/non-muslim debates he has demonstrated that he keen to defend muslims even when they have done wrong, such as the facts outlined in the OP.  Your use of language is interesting, you refer to 'Muslims', rather than the Muslims carrying out human rights abuses, so in that respect I see nothing wrong in defending Muslims because clearly they're not all responsible for the murderous behaviour in Africa.  Incidentally, the poster isn't defending them 'even when they've done wrong', if he tried to justify the abuse of Christians in CAR then you'd have a point. WeX   10 #17 Posted December 18, 2013 Millions of muslims displaced in Irag, Afghanistan and Burma. Swings and roundabouts hey.  But by whom?
 Share this content via...
RootsBooster   24 #18 Posted December 18, 2013 Christians are being attacked by Muslims throughout the Muslim world without much interest by anyone.  People are being attacked by people in general throughout the whole world, without much interest from anyone
 Share this content via...
charmer   10 #19 Posted December 18, 2013 But by whom?   This question has been answered already, please scroll up and read.  We could add Muslim's being forcibly evicted from what is now Israel, the West Bank, Gaza et al.  The attacks by Christians on Muslims by far outweigh the opposite and has done throughout history.  I say this as a well educated historian whom was brought up as a Catholic in a Military family. angos   10 #20 Posted December 18, 2013 Abuses of human rights in CAR are extensively covered on the Amnesty International website http://www.amnesty.org/en/region/central-african-republic  I'd happily consider asylum claims for these Christians, would you?  Military intervention is the best way to help terrorised people. LeMaquis   10 #21 Posted December 18, 2013 Maybe it's because whoever was responsible in NI are not trying to take over the world?  I seem to remember your beloved Christian Tony Blair trying to take over a few countries in a very short period of time.
