Andy   10 #8 Posted December 8, 2013 From the Fire Brigade:   Firefighters have been tackling a large fire at a onion factory which started at noon on Saturday. At the height of the fire eight fire engines were at the scene. Workers at the factory had all been evacuated safely before fire crews arrived. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus worked hard to prevent the fire from spreading to other buildings. At one point, part of the factory collapsed and firefighters had to continue fighting the fire from outside the building at a safe distance. On Sunday morning, one fire engine remained at the scene as a precaution. An investigation into the cause of the fire will take place in due course.  http://www.syfire.gov.uk/3157.asp
 Share this content via...
