cuttsie   1,091 #49 Posted December 3, 2013 My real name is too long to be used as a Forum handle, and most people cannot spell it, nor pronounce it correctly...so there  try us !!!!!!
 Share this content via...
Racheltracy   10 #50 Posted December 3, 2013 Hmm.. I guess its natural to form an opinion based on the info at hand.. and if the username is something unusual, a lot of people would jump to conclusion. I guess I try to be non-judgmental.. but sometimes you cannot help it.
 Share this content via...
L00b   441 #51 Posted December 3, 2013 try us !!!!!!Nice try  There's a few members on here, mostly active in the Business section, who know both my real name and me personally. Not counting all those (quite a few since '08 ) with whom I have dealt through the Classifieds section. That's enough.
 Share this content via...
Cyclone   10 #52 Posted December 3, 2013 I answered a post , My answer is that I believe we should all have the courage of our convictions. Your answer is the opposite. Both our answers are what a forum is all about. Opinion!  I actually asked you a further question;  How can someone 'hide' behind a name. Would you know who I was if you knew my name was John Smith (assuming it was)?  Displaying a real name is nothing to do with courage and using a handle is nothing to do with hiding. pandorra   10 #53 Posted December 3, 2013 I don't judge folk by their username unless it is an obvious wind up or political statement. I do judge folk on their signatures, their posts and in inverse proportion to the amount of posts they feel compelled to make. pandorra   10 #55 Posted December 3, 2013 How do you know whether they feel compelled or not?  They seem to have a need to always have the last word on every subject.
 Share this content via...
Bypassblade   10 #56 Posted December 3, 2013 My real name is too long to be used as a Forum handle, and most people cannot spell it, nor pronounce it correctly...so there   Genuine question LOOb, that would mean either you're English with a foreign name, or not English by birth, either way matters not to me. I read a lot of your posts and you come across as a successful, very educated individual.  Pete
 Share this content via...
