if you don't like it you can go to another branch, go to one of the many other cafes around there or buy your own subway franchise and sell the proper stuff!!

How do you know whether they make more money from doing this, or not? Is it your business or something? You seem to know a lot about it their profits and who buys what. I think you're just guessing to fit your prejudices. How would you know whether enough observant Muslims even use the place to make it worth retaining their business, let alone how much they spend or what they buy. Jewish people aren't supposed to touch bacon either, but the ones I've known love a BLT or bacon and egg sarnie as a snack lunch.

 

A similar thing happened with the KFC on Queens Road, they only do halal chicken, which is ok because it's still chicken, but the lack of bacon is something else entirely.

 

Because as you said, business is business. Businesses are in the business of making money.

 

They're not, not selling bacon to annoy people, so there is another reason.

 

You may perfectly well be right, they might be not selling bacon for another reason...maybe the owner of this particular franchise is a pig who's done really well for himself and won't have other pigs killed...but the more likely explanation is that they get a lot of business from Muslims so they make more money.

 

They're not conspiring against you, whatever you may think.
