Rother Valley Pike Fishing

Recommended Posts

Gonna try Rother Valley for pike tomorrow. I've never been before so was wondering if anyone got any tips on where to start fishing as it's a big lake.

i've not fished rother valley but i would adopt a mobile approach (20-30 mins in each swim) rather than sitting it out in one swim. good luck and let us know how you get on.

Pebley res does or did hold good Pike, perhaps Harlesthorpe dam at Clowne may be worth a trip.

Pebley seems to have gone down hill for Piking never seen any big girls taken, I've managed a 14lb few years ago. Dam Flask some big ones in there but can be hard to find em.

I spoke to a regular fishing at Pebley he says the fishing is either on or off. You either get no runs or loads of runs. I'll be giving it a try in the next few weekends ill let you know how i do.
