1950's Wedding and Bridesmaids dresses

Recommended Posts

I am wanting help, i am planning my wedding for next year. I know what style i want which is 1950's audrey hepburn style dress. But i do not know where to start looking, i am on a tight budget and not afraid to shop online, however i would rather shop on line and use a site other brides have used. Hope you can help me out.

Thank you:)

How about:

http://www.kittyanddulcie.com/index.html

Just got mine from here. Amazing quality and a great price. Another site people seemed to recommend was:

http://www.honeypieboutique.co.uk/

Ditto this, i have read rave revies of kitty&dulcie and have seen lots of recommendations for honeypie. I am a 2015 bride and am going for a similar thing, i haven't yet found a dress in the shops and may be venturing online, unless i can find an excuse to pop to London to see cutting edge brides or fairy goth mother!

Good luck with the search and let us know how you get on with the online experience :D

I was looking for a vintage style 1950's prom dress to wear to my brother's wedding and came across this site which would be great for your bridesmaids dresses. http://www.tigermilly.com/

Vyn Johns is good for that sort of style but you may also want to contact KMR bridal that I understand have a 50's style dress in their new collection as well.

Another vote for Vyn Johns! It's worth remembering though it is sometimes more expensive to have a bespoke dress made rather than buying off the peg so to speak.

I had a great experience at Blushes on London Road - they matched a style of dress to my budget and I felt very valued as a customer. I ended up with a prom dress in ivory - cost a fraction of a "wedding" dress and might be worth looking into given the style you like?

Good luck!

Try Evica dresses. If you do not like this rockabilly style you can go for this the ev451 model and ask them to make it calf length. You can also choose any colour you wish.
