boldforester   10 #40 Posted November 29, 2013 Does any one remember the North Pole, up by old Attercliffe Road station? That could be quite tasty. Cannon and Hen & Chickens and Market tavern were never threatening, main problem was fending off fences with knock-off gear. If you wanted to pull. the Market on Weds afternoon was always a good bet. The Magpie on Low Edges, yeah, I agree. You would walk in to the sound of your own footsteps...
 Share this content via...

Clown Shoes   10 #45 Posted August 11, 2014 I think the Hen & Chicken is Castle Gate is the dodgiest pub in Sheffield City Centre.  I shop at the Co-Op opposite most days and looks dodgy as heck.  So the other week (after a few too many beers in Kelham Island) i took my mates in there and it was like a wild west salon or the Mos Eisley Cantina in Star Wars.  Funny though! bill_the-cat   10 #46 Posted August 11, 2014 Avoid any pub with a flat roof is my rule of thumb. Pubs near the dole office, courts and police station - always full o' wrong 'uns.
 Share this content via...
