Hi can you guarantee buyers? Where are you advertising this event? I have tons of baby clothes that are all immaculate and would be really interested in selling if it is going to be busy.

Thanks for your reply- I'm sorry I have been slow to respond I have had a bit of a week with illness and other things unfortunately taking up my time.

In response to your query- I cannot guarantee buyers but I will outline below what I am doing in the run up to the sales to attract buyers- hopefully this will mean a very good turn out and that all sellers will make lots of cash:

]In the run up to each sale at least 2500 leaflets will be distributed door to door in the local area.

Leaflets will be distributed at local businesses and parent and toddler groups, each seller will also receive a bundle of leaflets and posters to distribute/put up local to them.

We have a 2 for 1 voucher to print out on our website to encourage buyers to bring a friend.

I will be using online resources to get the word out about sales- the sale dates will be published on over 30 websites in addition to facebook.

I will be advertising the sales in the local press.

Also there will be a banner up at each location a week before the sale and I will be handing out leaflets in the street in the week before the sale.

The Hillsborough sale is being held in a prominent location close to a tram stop.

I hope you agree that all going well we will have lots of buyers through the door!

Thanks for replying Sam, have you sold many sellers slots? How many slots are there available for the day? and also (sorry) do you provide the table? if so what kind of size is it?

Hi,

I've only just announced the dates so I haven't sold any slots yet. There are 20 sellers slots in total and yes we provide the table- the table is 1.8m x 0.7m (6foot) and you also get a space to one side of up to 0.7m to display one large item such as a cot or pushchair or a clothes rail (clothes rail hire available for £5).

I have only just seen this.

What a great idea! My daughter has lots of little boys clothes for sale, all like new. Unfortunately the first sale is today, so wont have time to make this one!

Will you update this post after todays event, with the response? Hopefully we will make the one in March (Hillsborough)

It was a lovely atmosphere at the sale and I think everybody involved enjoyed themselves and went home with a lighter load and a heavier pocket! There were many happy buyers leaving with bags and bags of bargains some doing multiple trips to the car and back in again!

Let me know if I can answer any further questions. There will be further sales at Hillsborough on 15th March and 17th May. I'm also holding sales at the Victoria Centre near Norfolk park on 15th Feb and in April (date to be confirmed).
