In order to reduce the chances of the corn recurring, consider alternative footwear and possibly using corn pads to disperse pressure. Corn pads impregnated with substances are not recommended, as they tend to macerate the area around the corn. A Podiatrist/Foot Health Practitioner is the best person to remove a corn.
