Emr scrapyard weigh in query!

anyone know if I can drive a car into emr n remove wheels and weigh it in myself, and what scrap price is on a mk3 astra??

yean course you can , should be about 150 a ton

Some will some won't pal, a lot of scrap places like to keep the wheels on especially if there standard alloys ... and I agree with Phil bout 100-150, a friend of mine scrapped a vauxhall Carlton the other week and got 300 quid but they are seriously heavy cars, best of luck with it

In my experience, most scrap yards charge for tyres.

They do, and if they're decent they'll pop them off the rim and add them to the pile of part worns to be sold on :hihi:

Not sure who EMR is but the law has changed if scrapping a vehicle you cannot take it to just any scrapyard to dispose of it, but you can take your vehicle to an authorised treatment facility (ATF) that deal in disposing of the pollutants of the vehicle (oil/brake fluid/petrol/diesel/battery etc)
