Why do posh people eat raw meat?

just watching 'masterchef' michel la roux has just made summat with funny looking mushrooms and duck breast that looks like raw liver - mingin' - why doesn't he fry it a bit longer like ordinary people would?

On occasion I am known to have my steak blue - which is basically where the chef shows the meat a picture of a flame and that's about as close to being cooked it gets

 

Can't stand it when people cook meat until it is dry as a bone throughout. Takes all the flavor away.

fair do's - micky la rue reckons he can cook, but if he served me raw meat, I'd give him a verbal hiding and tell him to get it finished, if I wanted it raw, I'd have eaten it in the butchers.

it's also not a steak, a steak is a nice slice of meat, not a lump of raw mince with stuff on.

Mainly because you don't want to be eating budget meat raw - it wants cooking.

 

Expensive meat from cows with personal masseurs and dieticians however, yum. No cooking required.

 

If cooking anything was required, we'd have died out as a species pretty early on.
