Blue Badge Use/Rules

Recommended Posts

Saw a pensioner with a Blue Badge car on Saturday drive up Norfolk Row, round on to Fargate & park right outside Santander Bank.

I thought that was pushing things a bit?   Presumably, if he's entitled to park there, then there would be no problem parking in a council car park?

I park in the Hallamshire indoor car park very regularly, and always try to park in the disabled section. If I can’t get in there then I  have to park on another floor, but I usually get a place in the former.  I have never had to pay, you have to take a ticket as you enter, but then you just show your blue badge to the chap by pay machines and he lifts the barrier for you to leave the car park. Last week the car park showed as full, at 10am, and the chap at the entrance saw my blue badge, lifted a bollard and let me in. Amazing.

Never knew that, if I couldn't  get parked in disabled  I would always pay, the only  way to get out of car park  so I thought.

I have also drove straight pass when seeing the full sign to spend time driving round and round, I now take a taxi, easier but expensive.

Yes that was amazing, bet it wouldn't  work for me.

I’m certain it will. Give it a try.
