False Widow Spiders in Sheffield.

Recommended Posts

Looks like an average house spider to me. I don't think it was necessary to kill it :(

To be fair, the advice is "if in doubt, kill it".

A man I know identified a false widow spider in his home about 2 or 3 years ago. Sent it off to be tested, and it was confirmed at the time. These spiders being around is not new information, its just the press is doing its best to scaremonger their readers.

How d'ya kill it without making it flat?? :hihi: or is the pic whilst it was still alive?

Nerf gun, from about 8 feet. Fatal blow without completely destroying it.

It's them or us ;) .

Death or a tingly finger...

Hardly "them or us"

OH MY GOD PANIC THERES A SPIDER THAT GIVES YOU A TINGLY FINGER!

People are soft and frankly pathetic. A species that fears something so relatively innocuous - fears enough to lash out and kill. What a primitive species we are, when you think about it.

False widows have been about for the past 140years.

Does that mean that their husbands are still alive?
