kidley   48 #157 Posted December 28, 2013 Due to the amount of people on S.F and elsewhere complaining about taxi drivers BAD driving, and not knowing there way around Sheffield is making the taxi drivers who are posting on this thread (and others) look ridicules. mg16 Â Â 10 #158 Posted December 28, 2013 (edited) same as spelling riducles when its meant to be ridiculous. that's coming from an ex taxi driver who knows nothing about spelling and lives in the dark ages, is accused of smoking in his place of work, doing illegal u turns and generally being public enemy no.1 , doesn't obey laws or even care ,is in cahoots with the police and council like some sort of tony soprano of the taxi industry. hated by bus drivers and car drivers alike, lets see now hes been racially abused , spat at, had his seats spewed on many times or a nice lump of chewing gum to unstick some kind person has left as a present, threatened with violence on many occasions, been done out of earnings by runners, stones thrown at his vehicle with and without passengers, has listened to so many tales of woe in such a short space of time he should have his own show, after costs earnings aren't as spectacular as people believe unless you factor in the 100+ hour drivers (no danger money in taxi driving even though its one of the most dangerous professions) and you got the sheer cheek to call us ridiculous kidley? what do you actually know about taxi driving or are you just good at pointing the finger. oooo   10 #160 Posted December 28, 2013 Vehicles that are allowed to use bus gates are annoying to normal drivers. Its ok with buses as they are carrying a lot of people, but taxis too??? They are normally just a car as well, just like the rest of us, so what makes a taxi different to Mr+Mrs Smith in their Austin Metro popping into town?? P.S, I dont want a row, im just pointing it out!
 Share this content via...

adamf   10 #162 Posted December 28, 2013 BTW; Most people realise that bus lanes exist so that buses don't get overly delayed by heavy traffic this is so that the bus services can be offered as viable alternatives to everyone using their own mode of transport. People blocking bus lanes, and being allowed to do so, for what ever selfish reasons cause the users of bus lanes to pull in and out of the remaining lane (usually there is only one other lane) of traffic making the situation worse for everyone on that road at the time, tough obviously not the ****** that parked in the bus lane.  "Most people" excluding fans of "why should poor people go faster than me" Clarkson, yes. mg16 Â Â 10 #164 Posted December 28, 2013 (edited) thats why there is a big queue for badges, people want them but cannot get them. Â so if people cant get them, they cant work as a taxi driver. so all you actually claim to know is theres a queue and even that is questionable. how totally enlightening. mg16   10 #166 Posted December 28, 2013 (edited) The enlightening thing is, it must be one hell of a job to put up with all the above  for me not a matter of choice, a matter of economics. it takes one hell of a person to take the **it that comes with the job, much like the police etc. that's why its so easy to make assumptions sitting on the fence looking down.
