Wisewood Inn didn't let us down. Young ones were kept entertained by the quieter bangs and us older ones kept entertained by the louder ones. Fire great and lovely and warm when standing at the front. Bit of entertainment by the neighbours too to keep us entertained- trying to compete but Wisewood s won. Thanks to the organisers.

Well how disappointing is tonight, have come out to Norfolk Arms in Ringinglow because this is one of only a few places hosting a bonfire event.

 

Its a bonfire, no fireworks and a dangerous amount of cars all gridlocked on Ringinglow Road.

 

There used to be The Stag, Netheredge Tavern, Chelsea Park in Nether Edge alone , all on bonfire night now there's nothing but Don Valley in Sheffield.

 

Booo no fireworks for the niece tonight.

 

 

We went to the 3 Merry Lads at Redmires. There was a fire and a good fireworks show (probably about 10 minutes or more - I didn't time it). Entry was £4/£2. Food avaailable - Roast Pork sandwiches, chilli in a jacket pot and pie&peas (although the pie had to be pre-booked).

 

Too late for you now, of course, but it might be worth looking out for next year.
