truman   10 #15 Posted October 22, 2013 I'm fairly sure you can't pass an MOT if there's a fault with your handbrake. Can't remember if that particular warning light is part of the test tho.  "The car will fail if an Electronic Parking Brake warning lamp is illuminated to indicate a malfunction."  From the AA website   http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/car-servicing-repair/mot-changes-2012.html
 Share this content via...
Clio172 Â Â 10 #16 Posted October 22, 2013 You shouldnt need clip to remove the code, most garages should be able to turn it off
 Share this content via...

Peer Gynt   10 #18 Posted October 22, 2013 I bought a Citroen Grand Picasso with 18000 miles on the clock in March this year. Whilst driving the engine would frequently die with the automatic parking brake failing to apply. A whole plethora of fault lights and messages would also regularly appear on the screen. The car went back to the car suppliers twice, the second time for a full week, it then went to a Citroen dealer who also failed to clear/locate the faults. At the warranty companies request I then took the vehicle to a different Citroen Dealer who finally located the source of the fault which turned out to be what my usual one man business mechanic said it would be.  BTW diagnostics are not covered by the warranty which I paid £525 for. mg16 Â Â 10 #21 Posted May 5, 2014 (edited) did the dealer tell you there was a recall for this? required a software update. the part they omitted was they themselves use a battery saver to change the batteries so there is no break in power whilst doing so! Â here you go. http://www.renault.co.uk/contact/scenicrecall/ Edited May 5, 2014 by mg16
 Share this content via...
