Rainrescue   10 #13 Posted October 19, 2013 We are just in the process of working with 2 solicitors establishing this system for Rain Rescue.  They will draw up a will for no fee to themselves - but for a suggested donation of £90 to go to ourselves being a local dog and cat charity.  I had never heard of it before but it seems a great way of local staying local. My own will is something thats sat in my 'in' tray ready to be sorted 'one day'. May make me do it now and have peace of mind. Once they have it finalised, I will update on here the names of the 2 solicitors that are working with us. They are both members of the Sheffield Law Society which have Rain Rescue as one of their 2 chosen charities for 2014, and the solicitors specialise in Wills and Probate. soundgeek   10 #14 Posted October 22, 2013 Search for will aid they do them in November and there were lots of local solicitors when I did mine.  Thanks Ianshef. I'm quite happy to leave some money to charities in my will, assuming there will be any left after the funeral.
 Share this content via...
Jeffrey Shaw   90 #15 Posted October 22, 2013 If anyone is thinking of taking advantage of this Will making promotion, please also consider Power of Attorney, particularly if you are a property owner or have any assets. This will not be free but could save your next of kin from having to spend time and money acting on your behalf should the need arise. You mean 'Lasting Power of Attorney', I think. An ordinary Power of Attorney is quite different. See HMG's website at https://www.gov.uk/power-of-attorney
 Share this content via...
