Hotel/apartment recommendations ?

Can anyone recommend any decent hotels or even better short stay apartments in sheffield for a long weekend Thursday-sunday for a couple

 

Had a look online but can't really get much info from some of the tiny pics etc, nothing too expensive so around £200-£250 for the 3 nights

and even though I am from sheff I have no idea about hotels round here

 

might even consider close by peak district areas (no car)

 

Oh yeah if they offer a discount for armed forces that would also be a bonus

How about the Halifax Hall Hotel? Getting good reviews on Tripadvisor and has great mattresses, pillows and duvets in the rooms. I should know I supplied them!

The above are apartments in the centre of Sheffield. They are close to the City Hall, Winter Gardens and the theatres etc.

 

Unfortunately I can't vouch for the cost or quality but may be worth a look.

If you want more city centre there's the Premier Inn near London Road, Jury's Inn on Eyre Street, there's a Novatel near there as well.

 

I can't actually recommend any due to living here and never staying in a hotel I'm sure there's something within your budget
