it was at potteric carr nature reserv doncaster on saturday .

 

was the end of a photography meet with a group of facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/naturewatchuk/

we was kinda lucky as we only spotted it as we was about to leave and against the sunsett it was awsome . real icing on the cake to a great day .

 

great place and would say if you have not been then you realy should pay a visit

great pictures. got to ask, doom bringer, where was that taken? Really want to get some nice kingfisher shots and the only one I have ever seen is once in Endcliffe Park in Sheffield - when I didn't have my proper kit with me :(

that one was in endcliffe park on the river just after the first pond .. was realy lucky as it was sitting maybe 10ft away ..

 

another good spot is birley spa bath house/pond realy small area and good chance of seeing it althou light can be a problem as its over shadow by tree.s
