Colly   10 #13 Posted September 30, 2013 It depends if you count the platforms between runs of steps as steps themselves.  At the top there are 5 runs of 11, then 2 lots of 6 then 2 more 11s. 87 by my reckoning
 Share this content via...
Cyclone   10 #14 Posted September 30, 2013 Not really. One is twice the other.  You're confusing the number of steps there are, with the number of steps taken.
 Share this content via...

TicTac   10 #21 Posted October 1, 2013 There is a route from the station to the Park Hill Flats with no steps. Take the lift at the Supertram end of the Station Bridge to Supertram level.  Exit the vestibule toward the tram tracks.  Turn left and follow the tram tracks about 150 or so yards back towards the city centre.  At the small iron bridge (Gilbert Street) follow the road up the small cobbled incline.  Facing you, at the top of Gilbert Street, is the Park Hill Flats.  Gilbert Street is nasty little hill, then you have to walk up South Street to get to the top of the steps, possibly the 158 steps is the easy option.
