Marie Curie Cancer Care want local schools/nurseries to take part

Recommended Posts

Do you know a school or nursery across South Yorkshire that would like to take part in Marie Curie Cancer Care's youth appeal - Mini Pots of Care?

All money raised help to fund the local Marie Curie nurses.

Closing date for registrations is Friday 4th October 2013

Mini Pots of Care is an interactive and creative way for children to learn about science, nature and caring whilst making a positive difference to the lives of people with terminal cancer and other illnesses.

Children taking part will be given their own pot and daffodil bulb to plant in autumn. They will then care for the plant until it blooms into a daffodil in spring, getting sponsored to do so.

Children celebrate their blooms on Mini Pots of Care Fundraising Day in February by learning about the charity, fundraising and painting pot wrappers.

Mini Pots are taken home by children to give to someone they care about and to gain donations from family and friends.

We provide planting kits free of charge and there are additional resources available to you online to use as part of the appeal.

For your school or nursery to take part, call Rebecca on 0114 279 3010 or email [email protected]
