A tablet with a decent battery life.

Got a kindle fire hd. It's alright. Problem is the 6 hour charging time and if I use it, it hardly lasts 3 or 4 hours - and im only talking surfing the web and a view games, im not watching films or anything. As a result it doesn't get used as much as it could.

 

Anything better with a better battery life?

I do quite a bit of travelling and not always near a poer point to recharge, I carry with me though a charger that does the job brilliantly see link below

iPad - i get about 8 hours 'screen on' time, and it will stay in 'sleep' for days without losing any charge.

iPad 2 here, and compared to all the tablets I've ever had (old tablet PCs and Windows CE tablets, recent Android no-name and branded ones) it's head and shoulders above in terms of autonomy.

Thanks folks. It's not like I haven't got access to power points, I just object to using them a lot! Might look at an iPad mini come the end of the year (despite my dislike of iTunes and iOS7) if the android stable has nothing that stands out in this regard.

I get about double that on my nexus 7, and charging time is less than two hours.

Another vote for iPad, I get 10+ hours out of my mini.

galaxy tab 2 has 9 hours life and 130 in asda, half the price of the ipad that you pay double for a logo
