diamond123   10 #1 Posted September 23, 2013 I have searched similar threads but they are very old.  I have had recommendations for little Italy in dronfield and four seasons Cantonese in dinington any opinions? I have never been to either  Recentley went to marranellos on eccleshall rd for our anniversary was a bit disappointed food was good but atmosphere not great.  Don't mind what sort of food as long as its good not a chain but not ridiculously expensive  Would appreciate any recommendations?? Kthebean   10 #2 Posted September 23, 2013 Cubanas on Trippet Lane is nice for tapas if its not too busy.  Also I like the Milestone although you will hear different reviews about it.  There's always taybarns!
 Share this content via...
Mister M   1,605 #3 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) La Gondola in town on Carver Street is a lovely little Italian Restaurant where you can have an intimate meal.  There's a mexican place at the bottom of the Moor that's very nice, once again very intimate and not too busy.  If it's still going there's a cosy restaurant up Walkley that does Libyan food. very nice and reasonably priced too!  There's one just off Hillsborough Corner opposite those nice flats that does really nice Italian food - forgot what its called  EDIT: Don't go to Nandos on West Street, it's very noisy not really a romantic place and the food is a bit iffy  x Edited September 23, 2013 by Mister M
 Share this content via...

willman   10 #10 Posted September 27, 2013 I think atmosphere and romantic evening is relative to you and not others. I adore Hassop hall - but it isn't romantic,it's formal with the opportunity to treat your OH like a lady(if you're a bloke obviously). Aston Hall similarly,Van Dyks is usually nice with good food as well. Marco's is very nice but can be a little pretentious - or the clientele can be. Little Italy was nice when i went a few years ago, quite cosy and casual clothing. Star of Sall is fabulous at Chesterfield. I recently visited Parthenonas and although the menu was limited(there aren't a lot of Greek meals really) the establishment is a little dated but service and food were excellent. shefftradei   10 #11 Posted September 27, 2013 La Vaca at Broomhill has good food and is a nice cosy place.  La Vaca is nice for a steak but its not a place to go if you want 'romantic' by any means
 Share this content via...
