TORONTONY Â Â 10 #91 Posted June 30, 2017 Many years ago at the Black Swan I saw a pro looking film camera rolling at a performance by the then Four Mimes ( called Discoes later ) doing Bridget The Midget, the funny Ray Stevens tune. Don't know if it was a personal home movie or what, or if it was a promotion by the guys. There were no home video recorders or camcorders at that time. I guess only any living member of the group would know anything about this, however
 Share this content via...

Clay Harrington   0 #94 Posted December 9, 2018 Hi  Ive recently been doing some research into a club act that my Dad used to be in and came across this forum? He was in the 4 Mimes. Id like to know about this act and its members as I have little knowledge of them as I was a small child at the time, I’m now 40,  but I’m led to believe they were great? I can remember watching a VHS video when I was like 7 of my Dad spinning around an inflatable guitar, that’s about it basically. He never really talks about his Club circuit years, but I’ve run into a few people recently that remember him and the group and have said they were very popular and could pack out a venue?  This has intrigued me to find out more? Ive also seen that some believe he passed away? I can tell you now William (Bill) Harrington is alive and well. Any information or videos would be greatly received. Thanks My Dad lived on Jenkins until 81. I was 2 at the time and my mum was expecting my sister. We moved to Aston. We all still live in the village too this date That’s in reply to Makapakas question about who lived on Jenkins
 Share this content via...
