Great British Bake Off 2013

Recommended Posts

Surprised there isn't a thread for this already, especially as one of our own is one of the contestants!

This has to be my favourite programme ever, and I'm not ashamed to say I've been moved to tears when a souffle doesn't rise or one of the contestants has a soggy bottom!

Anyone else watch it or have their own favourite moment?

Howard is on the forum, or just "one of our own" as in someone from Sheffield?

I edited because I think I've got the wrong end of the stick.

I watch it, I've watched every series :) Kimberley and Ruby are looking strong at the moment.

I really liked Howard! He seemed like a really nice genuine bloke. He has done Sheffield proud.

I don't think he was ever in with a chance of winning though.

He works with someone I know, I learnt yesterday.

My new claim to fame. How sad.

Please god, let Frances win!

Why? She's got funny teeth. Her things always look amazing but the judges say they often lack flavour. I stand by my earlier post and I still think it's between Kimberley and Ruby.

I'm guessing Kimberley will win, while hoping it will be Frances.

I really thought Ruby would go, after seeing the mess she made of her opera cake and bavarois (sp?)

I'm not surprised she was crying even before the results were announced, she was so sure it was going to be her for the chop.

Compulsive viewing even for someone who last baked a cake half a century ago.
