Maxtor   10 #1 Posted September 10, 2013 Ive just been in town and for various reasons i parked illegally, i didnt know it at the time but hey, i did it so its a fair cop. As i got back to my car the parking Warden (or what ever they are these days) was writing out my ticket. I didnt give an excuse, or kick off, or try and argue, i simply said "im sorry about that, ill pay it and wont park there again" At this point the warden stopped writing (typing) the ticket and said "go on then, you have an honest face" and let me off. I was so pleased and surprised and its put me in a great mood. So, the council may be evil and worse than Hitler but some of its employees are down right decent and nice people.!! Thank you again
 Share this content via...

Jason Bourne   11 #6 Posted September 10, 2013 It just shows that being polite goes a really long way!  Oh, you're not wrong there... the number of times I've been stopped (with good cause) by the Police over the years yet still managed to keep my drivers licence is testament to that fact
 Share this content via...

milquetoast1 Â Â 10 #8 Posted September 10, 2013 Just in the nick of time. I'm sure there's a "point of no return" when they're issuing a ticket. Â Incidentally, if you didn't know you were parked illegally at the time would you care to say where so nobody else makes the same mistake.
