cal20   10 #733 Posted January 16, 2015 There was also a tree blown down and blocking the bridge at the Endcliffe Parkrun. A small group of runners worked like ants to clear it just in time for the run to start.  Partly true! It was actually mostly one random guy from the Peak District who was walking in the park and decided to start clearing it and taking wood for his fire - helpful Parkrunners just joined in while they were walking down to the start area  Hopefully no such drama tomorrow! Flanker7 Â Â 20 #734 Posted January 17, 2015 I'm guessing Hallam cancelled cos of a frozen start/finish line?
 Share this content via...

Flanker7   20 #736 Posted January 17, 2015 (edited) Sheffield & Rotherham parkrun attendances for 17/1/15  48 - Concord 177 - Graves 160 - Hillsborough 65 - Castle 498 - Hallam  Total - 948  138 - Rother Valley 59 - Clifton Park  Total = 197  A massive turnout considering the conditions. Castle had another bumper due to the Striders Knockout Comp and handled it well. Well done to them. Any group of runners could do it at any parkrun. I think its a good thing. ?  ---------- Post added 25-01-2015 at 17:56 ----------  parkrun attendances in Sheffield & Rotherham on 24/1/2015.  58 - Concord Graves cancelled 154 - Hillsborough 24 - Castle Hallam cancelled  Total = 236  158 - Rother Valley 54 - Clifton Park  Total = 212  A chance for some parkrun tourism. Where did you go and what was it like? Edited January 25, 2015 by Flanker7
 Share this content via...

fosterrobert   10 #744 Posted February 8, 2015 I didn't realise Concord was on 31/01/15 - they said on the FB page they were going to cancel so I didn't bother. Gutted!  Castle was on 07/02/15 - reckon there was around the 30 - 40 mark but guess results will be up shortly.
 Share this content via...
