Jimmy O Â Â 10 #337 Posted March 3, 2014 I think Sheffield Castle is a tougher course than Graves, but Castle is probably a bit under 5k where as Graves is 150-200m long.
 Share this content via...

Flanker7 Â Â 20 #339 Posted March 4, 2014 Lots of runners think Castle is most fun. Â Who would have guessed these minor positions in the stats:- Â Male record = 1-Hallam 15:23 2-Hillsborough 16:13 3-Concord 16:27. 4-Castle 16:53 5-Graves 17:43 Â Female record = 1-Hallam 16:56 2-Concord 18:03 3-Hillsborough 18:27 4-Graves 19:31 5-Castle 19:43 Â Ave Time = 1-Hallam 26:22 2-Concord 26:28 3-Hillsborough 26:58 4-Graves 29:11 5-Castle 30:
 Share this content via...
Waldo   96 #340 Posted March 4, 2014 (edited) You get a lot of people walking round at Castle, which I think probably explains the slower average times. It's definitely faster than Graves though, if you're running. My PB at Castle is 1:50 (almost 2 mins) quicker than my PB at Graves. That's with no short-cuts!  EDIT: My bad. That was the difference between by personal bests at Hallam and Graves. I'm only 1:02 faster at Castle than Graves. sharpend   11 #343 Posted March 6, 2014 Thanks for the update - can you run around these puddles as I don't fancy wet feet?  No - as of last night - there were still a couple of really big uns which you would have to tip toe round the edge of.  Suppose it depends how badly you want to go faster
 Share this content via...
Flanker7 Â Â 20 #344 Posted March 7, 2014 I've just noticed there's another Age Group Category - JM10 & JW10. It's a bit scary how fast they go, 5th overall for one of ours! Its back dated too - the parkrun boffins are quite excellent.
 Share this content via...
