Probably more interesting that we both have a similar view to Powell's problems as health minister..there was going to be trouble at t'mill if he didn't find a ready supply of labour to satisfy the demands British people were placing on the NHS.

i live on city rd where i dont see any filth or crowds gathering outside shops i dont see any people causing anti social behaviour the state that page hall is in is disgusting not to mention the environment.

As said above, we don't need any unskilled low educated imported people we have an abundance of our own. As for immigrants doing low paid jobs well I don't beleive it. I put an ad in the Job centre for a labourer starting on NMW and I had a lot of what appeared on the phone to be English people applying for the job. I just do not believe we need to import people we have more than enough willing British people.

 

What we do need is educated and skilled people not baby breeders!

My reply was about dettoling the area as the posters I quoted said, do you think my parents are not sick of what the area has become?

It doesn't give people the right to insult everyone that lives there and that was the point I was making.

The House of Lords paper on the economic impact of immigration, concluded thus:

end of the occupation distribution (p 401). The City of London illustrates

this range of occupations, where immigrants are widely found among the

staff of the restaurants serving financial executives, many of whom are also

than the UK-born (49% vs 42%), with similar levels for elementary

occupations (12% vs 11%). But A8 immigrants are more concentrated in

low-skilled jobs, with 38% in elementary occupations and only 13% in higher

skilled occupations (ONS p 51).

 

Dr Drinkwater of Surrey University and Professor Blanchflower told us that,

for recent A8 immigrants, there is a significant mismatch between their

education/skills and their employment in the UK (Q 235; Q 319)

I've seen anti social behaviour of varying degrees amongst blacks, whites, Asian, Muslims, Jews, Catholics and Protestants..it isn't a 'race or immigrant' thing.

 

Start a thread about it then. This ones about page hall and its problems. Its problems are 99% imported.
