They're back..September is SPIDER month

Recommended Posts

Only yesterday my cat caught a huge spider, and a few days before that too they have started to appear, my Amazon spider catcher at the ready I am waiting for you (that's if the cat doesn't beat me to it!)

I hate September, the end of summer and Spiders

Boyfriday, the best thing I ever bought was the 'Spider catcher' you can keep them at arms length and then put them back outside, they may come back in but at least I know they're not in the same room as me for now!

Thanks Twitcher but you don't know how crap I am around spiders (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=834161&highlight=spider). I can't even hoover up their dead carcasses

I've a device that I plug in that supposedly acts as a deterrent, but all it seems to do is agitate the arachnids that otherwise would be sleeping behind my skirting board :hihi:

It's the only thing that works for me, I used to use a glass and paper but that meant having to get up close which was bad....

Is this why your username is an anagram of 'fraidy boy? ... as in a sort of school-day taunt of

"'Fraidy boy!, 'fraidy boy!

... sees a spider

and goes all coy!" ? :P

Its horrible just dread September sat every night just waiting to see some huge hairy thing running across the carpet at any moment!! I do have my spider catcher which is very handy, the only proplem comes when they are actually too big to fit in it! Shudders at the thought.

Me too! ... apart from tomorrow (3rd) which is my birthday ... not that I'm trying to make a big deal of it or anything. :D

spider catchers are awesome. I used to be terrified, to the point where i couldnt even put a glass over them and if i did i would leave them there until a friend came round to rescue it. but since i bought my spider catcher i am no longer scared even with the huge ones, i see one, get my catcher and throw them outside. No one can say they are more scared than anyone else, just get a catcher and see for yourself, you will no longet be petrified of the horrid little things.
