A: OJ Simpsons case was in the USA - different laws, different legal system

B: OJ Simpson is currently serving 33 years at Lovelock Correctional Center in Lovelock, Nevada.

However I will concede the OJ Simpson murder trial was one of the largest mis-carrages of justice in recent times.

The point is the same worldwide, that a good lawyer creating doubt can ensure a guilty person goes free.

I know what you mean Ridgeway, but oj simpson is in jail and has been for a long time, the police in the U.K if they think you have got away with a very serious crime, you will be on there radar for life. Think P.C Blakelock i am sure somebody thought they had got away with that.

That's a good thing isn't it? And the same worldwide? Am I being naive eg some nations having expiry dates for cases?

<snip>

The issues surrounding Bridger are that he admits responsibility for her death by accident (that's a common theme amongst paedophiles-remember Ian Huntley claimed one of the girls drowned 'accidentally' when he was cleaning blood from her face?).

I've mopped blood of plenty of faces, boyfriday. Thing is, I've never found it necessary, or useful to hold the person's head under the water. Particularly until they stop breathing...!

IMO huntley is indeed guilty of those two girls murder..he had form but had slipped through the radar.

In my opinion regarding Mark Bridger I believe that a great dis-service has been done to him. Lets face it he never stood a chance. He doesn't deny what happened, just not the way it happened. He vehemently denies he's a paedophile, is repulsed by the idea of it and the prosecution seemed to make a lot "fit" rather than provide evidence itself ! I was actually at the "trial". The press seemed to "tweet" and report what they liked. A lot didn't get in the papers or on twitter. I can't quite believe the pros banging on about why Bridger had baby wipes in his vehicle - it was surreal I can tell you !! Any sane parent with six kids would never be without them, let alone a man that maintains his own vehicle. I can't begin to comprehend the grief that parents go through when they lose a child in these circumstances but I really do think there's far more to this case than any of us realise and I don't think Mark Bridger is solely responsible !

Interesting, but the fact he has six children and carried baby wipes in his car doesn't mean he can't be a paedophile either.

The fact he admits responsibility for her death, yet can't remember how he disposed of her body, therefore denying her family the right to grieve and bury her..doesn't sound like the behaviour of a loving father with 6 children.

The fact he had pornographic images of children on his computer and watched video clips of rape scenarios doesn't exactly mark him out for Dad of the Year either.

The trial judge in his sentencing remarks stated that there was a sexual motive for April's abduction and murder.

He's a particularly unsavoury character who's killed a child, lied and gets off on child porn..how much more do you need to know?
