S8Sammy   10 #13 Posted August 26, 2013 it was a sudden death, some poor sod who'd been dead for a while, apparently. but presumably that's not newsworthy. shame there were no 'nosey neighbours' around six weeks ago.  ---------- Post added 26-08-2013 at 17:39 ----------  There are always 2 sides to every story. Keeping an eye on what's happening is all part of Neighbourhood Watch.  Reporting police activities, other than to the police, could be classified as being a nosey parker.  At what stage one becomes the other may be a difficult question to answer.  it's neighbourhood watch. nosey parkers never actually see anything. maxofe   10 #24 Posted August 27, 2013 Can you imagine if the Star reported everytime the police attended an incident?? Breaking news  4 police officers attended a house on Gleedless Rd yesterday when Mr & Mrs Montague had an argument over who won at the dominoes they were playing. Mrs Montague allegedly threw a domino at Mr Montagues head to which her husband retaliated with bashing his fists on the table.  An eyewitness- Mrs Partridge- who lives next door said "I've never heard shouting like it. It used to be such a quiet neighbourhood & then something like this happens"  Initial police reports suggest Mrs Montague was omitting quite a strong odour of Sherry. No arrests were made however a weapon was confiscated. Police confirmed the double spot domino was removed from the property in order to prevent any further disturbances.  You have obviously never read the Louth Leader
 Share this content via...
