slimsid2000 Â Â 10 #1 Posted February 18, 2004 I'd be interested to read people's opinions and memories of the new defunct Roxy's Nightclub in Sheffield; especially in the late 80s and early to mid 90s.
 Share this content via...

si@guisborough   10 #3 Posted February 20, 2004 When did Roxy`s close? I used to go in the early `90s after working at the Hen and Chickens on a Saturday night, with some of the staff, one of whom I married!
 Share this content via...
Killian   10 #4 Posted February 21, 2004 wasn't it known as Barry Noble's Roxy? went there a lot in the 70's when it was the Top Rank. Had two levels and lots of fancy lighting. pretty flash compared with some of the other 70's clubs.
 Share this content via...

Tony   10 #9 Posted February 21, 2004 Originally posted by slimsid2000 I thought Barry Noble really did die, which was not exactly alright for him!  I've been told that he had an official death quite a few years before his real death in the late 90's. Something to do with tax I believe.
 Share this content via...
Chris_Sleeps   10 #10 Posted February 21, 2004 I used to go in Roxy's aged about 16/17, and no lie, they did let anyone in. Looking back i don't know how we did it, it was so obvious we were underage. About 1998/99 was my peak time for crappy nightclubs, but it was fun while it lasted.  Chris.
