Meeting forum members

There used to be loads of meets in the past, food meets, theatre meets, pub meets, walk meets.

 

It's more difficult nowadays because half the posters on SF aren't even real people, just annoying constructs.

Has there ever been a forum meet? Would people like to meet others on here to put faces to the names etc, the logistics might be a nightmare but would people turn up n meet for a coffee in a cafe one afternoon for example......what ya think?

Been to a few choice forum meets in my time.

 

I remember one on top of Higger Tor by the light of the full moon. There were sandwiches on silver platters and everything.

I've been to two. Met many nice people and one in particular that lives in another country but is a friend for life as is her hubby who is not a member of SF

They were friendly and it was great to meet other posters.

I've been on a few but they're not my sort of thing. I tend to associate with people who dress sharp or in the ivy league manner, people who like 50s and 60s rnb, hammond, popcorn etc
