Prisoner Cell Block H Remake

Recommended Posts

Has anyone seen the trailers on Channel 5, they are bringing this bird back with a modern day vision.

It will be called Wentworth Prison and feature the early days of the original characters.

It will also be modern and according to sources.

It will be gritty and push boundaries and has had a second series commissioned.

I absolutely loved the original series with its cheesy yet addictive viewing that gripped the nation every Thursday night.

My favourite characters in the original were Vinegar Tits, The Freak and The Governor who is Alf Stewart in Home & Away.

Cannot wait to see this new series as there was always something special about seeing women behind bars.

The only thing I hope is that they at least keep the original theme song...

"On the Inside" written by Allan Caswell and performed by Lynne Hamilton.

They haven't kept the original theme song I'm afraid.

It's great despite this. :)

I ADORE PCBH!

Can't wait to see the new series.

You could always tell fans of Prisoner, they'd have bags under their eyes the day after it was shown (coz its on late); and a penchant for wearing denim skirts with american tan tights ;)

Wonder if they'll still have the shaky scenery?

It was. I remember Alf been in it but the governors (there were 2 iirc) were both women.

I can see crime rates rocketing with this glorifying a life of porridge.
