Mr Bloom was neither colonial nor racist. But he's well-known for obtaining easy, free publicity!

You obviously care not that 9 pensioners a day died in the winter because they couldn't or weren't capable of looking after themselves.

UKIP don't seem to care either. I googled UKIP welfare policy and got http://www.ukip.org/media/pdf/UKIPwelfare.pdf. This appears not to exist as what it tells me about UKIP's welfare policy is;

Holding racists views doesn't invalidate someones opinion though does it? Is it not possible that he could be racist and still be right that we are wasting our money sending aid to some countries?

I think it is a bit too easy to simply dismiss someones concerns with a label instead of an argument.

Not necessarily - it makes me highly suspicious of their motives though.

The fact he's referring to Bongo Bongo Land doesn't raise even the slightest suspicions that he's operating from a racist point of view? Really?

Yes, really. He adroitly drew attention to a festering fraud conveniently overlooked by many of a politically liberal mindset.

Fraud is a type of theft, here accentuated because- as other members have mentioned- tax is not a voluntary imposition.

A poor analogy.

Do you:

a. support fraud; or

b. oppose fraud?

Does UKIP support or oppose fraud? Taking on board ex-Tory MEP Den Dover who had to pay back £500,000 of expenses from public funds would suggest you lot are quite happy with some fraud.

Sorry. I'll try again.

Like a bear can adroitly perform bowel surgery.

Yeah. Bongo bongo land is a perfectly innocent term, based on the local antelope population. Dunno what all the fuss is about.
