The Springwood Pub

Isn't the High noon further up turning into a shop?

The working class areas continue to lose pubs in Sheffield. People are priced out of drinking beer. There needs to be reform and reduced tax on alcohol. Alcohol duty is a regressive tax anyhow, it affects the poorest the most and drives inequality.

YeGods. Is this the same"poor" that buys the cheap beer from the supermarkets? Pubs are failing for many reasons most of which have little to do with class.

I would think it's more to do with the likes of sainsburys etc selling 36 cans for under £20.

Not just Sainsburys thought is it? There's Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, coop and even cheap Aldi, Lidal, Spar Costcutter.

So it's a bit wrong to single out one retailer!

Do I have to explain what "ETC" means or do you wish to carry on being dumb?
