johncocker   10 #1 Posted July 14, 2013 i've have always enjoyed colour movies to black and white. The main two exceptions to this rule are 'Whistle down the wind' and 'The last picture show'. Both films were better for the lack of colour. Why? Well i think it was because both films had a bleakness and desolation about them. Since colour adds a warmth to everything, i think the lack of it befits the harshness and isolation surrounding the characters. But since i am only allowing myself one I'll go for the last picture show
 Share this content via...
treeko1 Â Â 10 #2 Posted July 14, 2013 This will get moved I assume to ents but for the record there are 2 I would nominate.1 because it was made in a classic era of b and w films and 2 for sheer atmosphere.its a wonderful life and elephant man(the latter would have lost sizeable impact if it had been made in colour)
 Share this content via...
