Domestic Underfloor Heating Experiences

I am interested in people's experiences/opinions of installed underfloor heating in a domestic setting.

 

Have you had underfloor heating installed in your house? if so, why underfloor heating and not an alternative?

I installed electric underfloor heating in my bathroom and its great, nice radiant heat and very quick warmup times.

we've done the same and it's great in the winter. Make sure you match it with the correct floor covering as there are different types for tiled or wooden floors.

 

The underfloor heating we've had in holiday flats etc has been excellent and gives a much more even heat, couldn't comment on the bills but it should be comparable.

We've installed both wet and electric systems. They they both have pros and cons, depends what your floor finishes you're going for and ultimately depends what you want to achieve, warm feet or your main heating source?

 

But I would say you get what you pay for, don't go for the cheapest option, especially if you're using it for your main heating source.
