Plane and 9 plane escort over Chesterfield?

Happened around 10.45am this morning, the plane itself looked fairly small, slightly smaller than a 737, and was escorted by around 9 fighter jets. I live in Chesterfield so saw them flying straight over Newbold.

 

Presuming this is something to do with the armed forces day? Was incredible to see.

Well the Red Arrows are out and about today and there's nine of them....

They weren't red arrows planes, looked more like Tornados, looking at pictures I'm guessing the larger plane was a Sentinel..

Yes was a Sentinel and I think they were Tornado's out for Nottinghamshire Armed Forces Day

Saw them about 11.30-11.50 when out on Totley Moss, roughly to the west of us, probably heading north west.
