Touch Rugby anyone?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Our first training back after Christmas was last Saturday so we're already back up and running as we want to be ready for some friendlies before the tournaments and leagues start up.

Have a look at our facebok group as it's pretty well informed and you can usually find out whether a Saturday or a Thursday session is going ahead from there.

Hi all!

I'm organising a friendly with some players from Nottingham and we're looking at either Sat 28th Feb or Sat 7th March for a game and some socialising. Can you let me know either here or on facebook which day is best?

Cheers!

Training now is just on Saturday mornings from 10am at All Saints School until the evening light returns.

There is also fitness sessions on a Monday evening - sprints, drills and so on - which start at 7pm again at All Saints School - just turn up with trainers or boots!

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

We have a friendly match organised on Sat 28th Feb with Perfect Motion and Fraggle Ruck, starting at around 1pm at All Saints, Granville Road. There's food afterwards in town at the Red Deer for players at a bargain price!

We are also looking at entering a league this summer, either in Sheffield or maybe Doncaster - hopefully these'll start in April time.

We're always looking for new players and people who want to try a new sport, especially women, so if you want to find out more or give it a go, come and watch the matches or pop along to our playing sessions on Saturdays at 10am, or the fitness sessions on Mondays at 7pm, both at All Saints.

We're also on facebook here so join the group for more info, or drop me a PM!

Thanks everyone who came along - it was a great day and we'll be organising another one in the near future if anyone wants to give it a go!

Next on the cards - putting together a couple of teams to enter spring/summer leagues in Doncaster or Barnsley or both; entering a team or two in a Development Festival in Nottingham on 9th May; starting weekday evenings informal sessions again (venue yet to be decided!)

If you want to find out more then PM me or check out our Facebook group!

Deadline time's getting near for the May 9th development tournament so those of you who haven't seen the updates on Facebook or seen me or Simon on a Staurday to say you want to come, please speak up now! Any level of player is welcome and the tone won't be too serious.

To anybody who fancies giving touch rugby a go whether you've played before or not, come and give it a go! We're currently playing fun games on a Saturday morning, 10 - 12 at All Saints School and drills and skills on Monday 7 - 8. New players are more than welcome. You can just turn up on the day or PM me first for more details. You don't need to bring any money or special kit but you may wear boots if you feel more comfortable in them.
