the EDL had 7000 in Newcastle actually so get your facts right

7,000? Really? :loopy:

Estimates for numbers attending EDL demo in Newcastle May 25th.

Newcastle Evening Chronicle 1,500

Newcastle Journal 1,500

Huffington Post 1,500

BBC News 1,500

ITV News 1,500

Tyne & Wear Sky 1,500 and finally

Northumbria Police 1,500

So we have seven independent organisations, none of which can be called remotely 'left-wing' yet all agree on a figure of 1,500 for EDL attendance that day.

The EDL however, claimed 7,000.

Ladies & Gentlemen of the jury, what say you? :D

I was made aware of a speech by Mr Robinson last year at a rally he illegally attended disguised as a Rabii (by Mr Robinson tweeting a link to a video of it a couple of days ago) in which he stated the following.

Now you can argue that an organisation whose leader is so dumb as to tweet links to that video under the circumstances poses no threat. But you're not responsible for ensuring the safety of British citizens. Those who are have to take these guys seriously. The threat was made, it's very clear and the trigger has happened. You can dismiss them as an issue for the bouncers and the majority are, but some will not be. So even if it turns out neither attack on islamic centres was anything to do with them or their supporters, even if not one single attack on the muslim community emanates from them or their supporters the security service and special branch still need to divert resources badly needed in tracking jihadis to keeping an eye on this lot.

So let me try and get this straight .

Was 7/7 committed by radical Islamic lunatics they claim in the name of islam . Answer .... Yes

Are the edl concerned and actively seeking to stop the spread of islam and most importantly radicalised Muslims from killing anybody else on English soil .... Yes

So surely the edl are only a problem and only exist because we have these ferrel Muslims burning poppies , beheading soldiers , blowing up underground trains etc etc

Everybody get together and get rid of this foul barbaric form of islam and then the edl can go back to football violence or whatever it is they do .

They edl disgust me , don't get me wrong but it really is simple to understand .

No Radical Islam = no Edl

No edl = well still the radicalised Muslims killing people in the name of islam as they claim .

What do you hope to achieve in Birmingham?

A drunken, drugged up pub crawl which will close many town centre businesses costing the local community almost as much as the policing will cost.

It will be attended by no more than a couple of hundred people and will include the usual dozen or so arrests of EDL supporters for the usual mixture of public order offences, possession of class A drugs and being drunk & disorderly. There will be those on the demo giving nazi salutes, some of whom will be filmed or photographed and those which aren't will be the subject of endless claim and counter-claim.

It will irritate some members of the local community and terrify others. Most will just ignore them.

Ultimately though, it will achieve nothing other than selling a few more cheap hoodies.

You forgot to mention those ridiculous chants they all get excited over :loopy:

Well when you put it like that it's so simple.

Lets just get rid of radical islam and tommy and the boys will toddle off back to fighting each other.

So as soon as we win a multi generational war against a fanatical islamist enemy actively fighting against civilisation in half the nations of the world we need not worry about a few football hooligan bellends.

There is a tiny problem with that solution to the issue of the EDL being an impediment to our war against the islamist enemy in our country right now in that we're not going to win for decades. And they are getting in the way right now. So your solution is a little cart/horse.

So it understandable then that a few narrow minded thugs might be hard line when it comes to something you yourself describe as a war with a fanatical Islamist group that is in our country

It is understandable, but when their reaction threatens innocent citizens and diverts vital intelligence resources from the war against the enemy then I question their right to continue operating.
