Supercars in the City 2013!

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Supercars in the City event will be returning again this year to Sheffield city centre!

A number of high performance sports and supercars will be on display in Sheffield City centre throughout the day. There will be a rolling convoy of all the cars entering the city if you want to see/hear them all driving through the streets. The cars will then park up in the city centre to get a closer look at the cars.

There will be an opportunity to passenger ride in a number of cars on the day for a donation to charity.

The event is organised to raise money and awareness of the local Bluebell Wood Childrens hospice, a hugely worthwhile charity-funded organisation who offer care and support to children with a shortened life expectancy. All monies raised on the day will go directly to the charity.

If you or your family are a petrol head, you won't want to miss this!! Saturday 27th July 2013.

More details to follow soon, but heres a few piccies of last year...

Hi all,

The planning for this event is well underway, with more than 50 cars scheduled to attend this event. We've started a facebook page and will be posting pictures of some of the cars in the run up to the event.

It should be great fun, hope to see you there!

Cheers,

Just a couple of days to go now folks and we are finalising the parking plans. The groups will arrive at 10am in convoy (well, as 'convoy' as Sheffield's extensive traffic light system will allow!), and will be parked in the centre between 10am-2pm on Saturday.

If you need parking, we have arranged a 10% discount with Q-Park if you pre-book a space. The location is Charles Street, about 5 minutes walk from the event.

You can pre-book below;

If I remember right, one guy was doing rides in his car for about £60ish. Saw one girl buy one and looked on very jealously as they drove off....

The rides vary in price, my lad got a ride in a Noble for £25 last year, worth every penny as it goes to Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice
