I grew up on there and had a lovely childhood and had some lovely friends but we moved and I lost touch with most f them. Woud like to get in touch and share some memories. Daven   10 #10 Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) Aaahhhh the Stannington mafia arrive, somethings never change!  The sign that signals the start of Stannington hasn't changed either - it's quite large and is outside the Sportsman pub where Stannington Road branches to the right and Oldfield Road to the left. Below the Sportsman pub are the areas of Deer Park, Roscoe Bank, Woodlands and then Malin Bridge as you progress down the hill.
