We've got 4 fire engines there at the moment. A mid terrace property has been destroyed by an explosion and two neighbouring properties have been badly damaged. We don't have any details about casualties at the moment.

The bang was unbelievable. We were in a 2 storey portakabin by the sewerage plant at Blackburn meadows and it shook the building to the point that we thought something had driven into us.
