Has anyone been able to identify what it is they are being fed on? I'd imagine that feral pigeons would be on the menu quite a bit and I'd have thought by the size of some of the woodpigeons around here they'd be easy to catch as well.

 

I remember seeing one pursuing a greenshank once, now that was a proper race!

I've certainly seen them dismembering a frog/toad

Im pretty sure that aswell as pigeons they are eating blackbirds, having found dismembered heads nearby

Had a look in on them this morning and saw the chicks being fed from a birds dismembered head, looked like something from a horror movie.

This morning I could see part of the egg behind the mound of the chicks, I assumed that the last egg is a duff but I wouldn't know for sure.

The adult looks like (s)he is sitting higher off the platform tonight than last night - the chicks must be getting bigger!

Yes, there's 3 chicks and an egg, managed to take a =114974690&filters[recent]=1&filters[publicOnly]=1&sort=1&o=0"]screen capture of them earlier.

 

As a side note, have you seen just how far those tiny chicks can fire their poo? ..........seriously, it's at least two feet!
