Stocksboy   10 #3 Posted May 23, 2013 Done Google and found this.  http://www.siventerprises.co.uk/case-study-Scarborough-Spa  "SIV will enter into a 10-year agreement with Scarborough Borough Council to run the two venues and the Scarborough Spa Cliff Lift on a 50/50 profit share basis, with the partnership expected to begin formally this October. In the first year of the partnership, SIV has already pledged to invest more than £700,000 in refurbishment work at Scarborough Spa and Whitby Pavilion, while council staff jobs will be protected through the TUPE process". At a time that they are closing centres in Sheffield and making people redundant!
 Share this content via...
SoundLamp   10 #4 Posted May 23, 2013 See here http://www.siventerprises.co.uk/why, SEL is supposed to be a different company from SIV. Dont quite see how it will work though as all SIV businesses are connected, and SEL doesnt seem to fit with the objectives of the City Trust, http://www.sheffieldcitytrust.org.uk/about, Cant help thinking that funds raised for Sheffield folk would end up funding facilities on the east coast. On their own website they refer to themselves as "SIV will enter.." Seem to be some very blurred lines between the different parts here.  For people living in Stocksbridge to find out that SIV are putting £700,000 of our money into a gamble in Scarborough does not sound like a good plan. mikeyproduct   10 #9 Posted September 14, 2013 More confusion over who exactly is paying for the Scarborough Spa refurb. Scarborough Council say it's SIV, SIV's website says it's SIV.  Steve Brailey, CEO of SIV says it's Scarborough Council.  Awkward.  http://www.sheffieldpolitics.com/blog/2013/9/14/whos-paying-the-700k-bill-for-siv-scarborough
 Share this content via...
